Who We Are & What We Do!
Mission
Asian American Student Association is a student-led organization dedicated to educating our peers and community about the Asian American identity. This group was founded to create a safe and inclusive space for members and allies of our community. These spaces are intended for important conversations surrounding issues prevalent to the Asian American community. We aim to educate, advocate for, and empower our peers within GW.

AASA is constantly looking to interrogate what it means to be Asian American as we understand that this label encompasses many identities and experiences. AASA does not look to define what it means to be Asian American, but looks to create a space where students may discuss this question themselves.
Vision
To teach our community and peers about Asian American identities and interrogate what it means to be Asian American
Create a space to discuss and encourage questioning our biases

Create a safe and radical community for AAPIs on campus; cultivate a sense of unity among different AAPI ethnicities

Learn from and stand in solidarity with other marginalized communities on campus
